How it works
Check eligibility
Send a scan. We confirm the document can be apostilled in Armenia and whether a translation is needed before or after the apostille.
Hand over the original
Drop it off in Yerevan, send it by courier or HayPost, or let us retrieve a new copy for you.
Submission to the Ministry
We submit the document to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and collect it once the apostille is issued — typically the next working day.
Translation and delivery
If required, we translate the document and the apostille, certify the translation and deliver everything in Armenia or abroad.
Who issues apostilles in Armenia
Armenia has applied the Apostille Convention since 1994. Applications are handled by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia; documents from Armenians abroad can also be routed through Armenian diplomatic missions to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Since April 2021 the Ministry of Justice also issues electronic apostilles in Armenian and English, which can be verified online at e-verify.am with a control number or QR code.
Apostille or consular legalization?
An apostille is enough only if the destination country is a party to the Hague Convention. For countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Lebanon, Iran or Egypt, documents need consular legalization instead. See our country guides below, or simply tell us the destination and we will choose the right route.
Documents that cannot be apostilled in Armenia
The Ministry certifies only official documents issued by Armenian authorities. Documents issued by foreign authorities, by diplomatic or consular agents, or administrative documents relating to commercial or customs operations are excluded. Soviet-era documents issued outside Armenia must be apostilled in the country that now holds the records.

Frequently asked questions
How long does an apostille take in Armenia?
The Ministry of Justice normally issues the apostille within one working day of filing. With collection, translation and delivery, most clients receive their documents in 2–4 working days.
Can I get an apostille without coming to Armenia?
Yes. We act on your behalf: you send the original by courier, or we obtain a fresh copy of the document for you with a power of attorney, and we return the apostilled document anywhere in the world.
Should the translation be done before or after the apostille?
It depends on the destination. Often the original is apostilled first and then translated together with the apostille; some countries want the notarised translation apostilled too. We check before starting so you do not pay twice.
Is an electronic apostille accepted abroad?
Many authorities accept e-apostilles that can be verified online, but some still expect a paper apostille. We advise based on the receiving office.
