Translation and certification
A qualified translator translates; the translator's signature is certified by an Armenian notary, or the translation is certified in the format the destination country requires.
Delivery
Collect in Yerevan, receive it by courier anywhere in Armenia, or by international courier. A PDF copy is emailed in advance.
What “certified translation” means in Armenia
In Armenia, an official translation is normally a translation signed by the translator whose signature is then certified by a notary. This notarised translation is what Armenian ministries, the civil registry, banks and courts expect.
Abroad, the rules differ. Some countries accept an Armenian notarised translation with an apostille; others require a translator sworn in their own courts. Because ABC Translation has offices in several European countries, we can provide either, and we tell you which one your receiving office will accept before you pay.
Translations into Armenian for use in Armenia
Foreign documents presented in Armenia — for marriage registration, residence permits, company formation or property transactions — must be translated into Armenian. We translate them and have the translation notarised in Yerevan. If the original foreign document needs an apostille from its country of issue, we can obtain it through our international network.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a certified translation cost?
Prices depend on the language pair, the length and layout of the document, and the type of certification required. Send us a scan and we reply with a fixed price, usually within a few hours on working days.
How long does it take?
Standard civil documents such as birth or marriage certificates are usually ready in 1–2 working days including notarial certification. Urgent same-day service is often possible; ask when you request a quote.
Do I need to bring the original?
For the translation itself a clear scan is usually enough. Some certifications and all apostilles need the original document, and we will tell you if yours does.
Will my translation be accepted abroad?
Tell us which country and which office will receive it. We check that office's requirements — notarised translation, apostille, sworn translator in the destination country — and prepare the documents accordingly.
